Sivatel hotel and Central Embassy, Bangkok I Feb. 12

I had another pleasent stay at the Sivatel hotel on Witthayu road. They gave me a free upgrade from a regal to a grand regal suite which measures around 80sm and has views from its bathroom/bathtub. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Because the hotel got very popular, the pool area was crowded on my last visit which wasn’t too great for me but I enjoyed their gym.
Construction at Central Embassy is improving steadily, I watched the site for a while. Around end of 2013 the building shall be opened. Park Hyatt will be opened sometime in 2014.

Sherbet, Bangkok

Sherbet by BKCOOLCLUB on Ekkamai is one of the hottest gentlemen clubs in Bangkok at the moment. It was the only G-club I visited on my last trip.
From my point of view, the place got better and better over the years whereas the older Pent declined a bit. First the Forte (my former favorite one), then the Piano got shut down.

The amount of eye-candy is remarkable. Of the more than 100 girls, there really are lots of pretty girls around. About 5-10% of the guests are farangs and about a quarter of the girls speak ok English. The place was fully packed when I visited them. I wish there would be more quiet areas around at Sherbet like at the Pent. Sherbet still has a wine room though.

The shows and dance routine is pretty good at Sherbet, it is among the best I have seen in the G-clubs. I still wish the girls would behave more natural. In the video you see at least 1 girl getting wild for a moment on the stage, The majority are just playing down the dance shift time with half efforts – but it is everywhere the same.
The real shows are very well choreographed, you cannot find that anywhere else in the world in similar establishments. They also regularly bring some talented artists on the stage for special events.

Footprints across the Andaman Sea, Thailand 2012

The video features 22-year-old Thai girl Milk from Bangkok.

The scenes got shot at several islands/beaches in the Andaman Sea, to name a few : Koh Hong, Poda island, Chicken Island, Railay beach, Koh Phi Phi, Maya Bay, Border Island, Bamboo Island.

We shot the video on 2 days, always standing up 1 hour before sunrise. At those beach places, I really have no problems with standing up early (for work I do it everyday around 5:30am anyway), it is just a very different mood I am having there than in crazy Bangkok.

And we really did achieve to be at beaches like Koh Hong, Bamboo Island and Maya Bay (“The Beach”) completely alone and set the first footprints into the sand of those beautiful beaches between 6.30am to 8.30am. We even captured this on Valentine’s day 2012 and on the following day. In spite of the fame of those beaches and high number of tourists arriving every day, we did manage it to be first and alone for at least 2 hours.

Milk and I had a lot fun with the shoot. She was posing very sweet.

We had help from two guys of the Phulay Bay, Ritz Carlton reserve, who took us around with a longtail boat and later a speedboat.

The Andaman Sea is big, this was just a small part, including some islands/beaches that are very popular in the area and that can easily/quite shortly be reached from either Krabi or Phuket or Yao Noi.

The video got shot and edited by me. My video style isn’t really good yet but at least I am improving and just enjoy doing this – think back of my style 5 years ago, early 2007. Thomas developed the sound. Especially I like the part in the “secret” lagoon at Koh Hong island from 4:40 min onwards, the sound gets really groovy around 5:00 min.

Marrakesh resort, Hua Hin

I was the first incoming guest at this 67 rooms resort after grand opening. That might sound like an advantage but at this place it sadly wasn’t the case.

You can really do the world travelling just within Thailand. Hospitality is simply amazing there : full of innovative approaches, styles and it comes with all the comforts that are taken for granted in Thailand.

The most positive thing about the Marrakesh resort and residences is the concept, design and high quality useage of materials. It is really amazing to look at all the details of the place. If you exclude the service this would have been a really good stay.

I paid for the oceanfront suite a promotional rate of THB 8.5k++ which was a really good deal, published rate of a bit over THB 20k++ would not have been a good deal anymore. The smartest and best English speaking staff person I met was the person who introduced me to the hotel. She was really good and a true exception around my complains.

The staff really didn’t care at all about me, as I probably was the only paying guest those 3 days I was there. There also had been a few (non-paying) press people around.
On my first day i got asked 4 times (!) about my room number to give proof I am really guest and not a forbidden, random guy from outside. When being in the pool, nobody at all was around there, when I laid down on a poolside chair, they started repairing the chair right next to me, obviously trying to piss me off. The majority of the staff doesn’t speak much English, but they also didn’t look like they wanted to work/be at service. I even saw some people hiding around the area and some security guards sitting behind cars playing games. There was nobody in the gym, so I switched on the machines myself. When someone entered, the first thing they asked was my room number again, once they had it confirmed the person disappeared from his work place quickly again, leaving it unattended. The Marrakesh hotel also promotes the huge pool of the residences strongly which isn’t part of the hotel and gives people booking the place the feeling that they can use it. I gladly was prepared for that dissapointment because I read it before in the internet (not their website). It is really a shame how bad this beautiful place is managed. I can only recommend the investors of Marrakesh to rethink their current resort management, laying off maybe half of the staff, recruiting new people (which cannot be that difficult in Hua Hin) and to start all over again while they still have a chance to do so.

Hooters, Medellin, Colombia

The first Hooters in the US opened 1983, now there are more than 460 restaurants in the US and they operate in 27 other countries. I guess there is no other Hooters in the world where you will find such serious ASS than at the one in Medellin.

The place itself is no different from the other Hooters: typical menu, drinks and price levels. Around 10pm the place can get pretty crowded, even at weekdays they manage to get around half full.

I spoke with the manager there who is a Colombian in his mid 30s. Franchise fees are lower than in the US but the initial investment outside of the US is mostly very similar and just on par with the relating buying power/per capita GDP.

The girls are fun, sexy and entertaining, although most aren’t speaking too much English. The photo featured girls got paid for the appearance on Global Nanpa later on.

Club Mango, Fahrenheit and Fase II (Fase Dos), Medellin

Club Mango was a huge dissapointment. This still is the most famous club of Medellin although they already had their best days. What a trap. It took me quite some time to venture out there. Fahrenheit is not that far from it but it is still a distance. I walked there from Mango’s about 30min because I could not get a taxi in the rain. Fahrenheit was better, but it is just a normal mainstream club with nothing that fascinated me any bit.

Fase II (Fase Dos) is probably the best naughty nightlife spot. I sadly did not get video permission inside, although I discussed it over a long time with a manager there. The place is well organized and started to fill up around 10:30pm. The shows are pretty good, the girls are really hot. When looking for tits and especially ass, this place can hardly be beaten worldwide. The vibe was similar like what I experienced at termas 4×4 in Rio de Janeiro with the difference that it is not a termas and you don’t sit in a boite.

There are about 50 to 75 girls regularly hanging out at the place. What I really disliked was that after an about 10-15 minute dance shift all the (mostly single) perfomers go around and hassle guests for tips. After that I changed from the centred stage seating area more to the bar area, overlooking the shows with more distance and watching my back better. The place has capacity for around 100 guests and always gets packed at weekends. There is an establishment with rooms right next to it where you can pay for ST sessions. For me Fase 2 is more a good place for the shows, for additional pleasure I would rather go to the plentyful Casas. The video release section for Casas will be delayed. Comparing a pole dance of a Thai bargirl with the chicas at Fase 2 getting wild on the stage is ridiculous. I mean I love the sweet Thai/Filipina bargirls on stage but their bodies and behavior aren’t naturally made for such shows : it is the natural territory of some hot Latina’s.

Charlee hotel, Medellin

The Charlee hotel is a new luxurious design hotel in Zona Rosa. I got a tour through it. The rooms are very modern, some even have outdoor jacuzis and teppanyaki eating areas. But don’t expect here the fabrication and material quality to be like you might know it from South East Asia – still it is impressive for Medellin as nobody else has similiar rooms.
Most spectacular is clearly the rooftop and pool, that’s truely a new hip spot of Medellin. The view is amazing and at nights times, they play pretty decent music and fun people are around. The bar manager there is energetic, speaks well English and is smart.
I personally would not stay in the hotel because it is noisy, I rather would opt for Park 10 in Zona Rosa. But as a guest on the rooftop for partying, this place is sweet. There is also a cool club named El Deck in Zona Rosa.
