Global Nanpa : Golden Super, ep.1

Global Nanpa is back with a fresh, updated design and some new features. We are still working on more stuff which isn’t availabe yet. It will will take around another year to get some ideas implanted.
The video guide section is now much better structured than before already, thanks Ni. It is not finished yet, it will take until fall 2012 to make it better.

The last trip really broke a barrier. In general I would say : everything is possible now. I just have to decide for which action I want to spend my energy on. The old limits of money and time can hardly be felt anymore. Still, I dislike wasting resources of all means where I don’t see any value for.
Once you cross the EUR 1000 per day stay barrier you are mainly paying for having everything private for yourself and at a level beyond that (3000++) you are mainly paying for the prestige/show.

This amateur video stuff can hardly improve by me alone anymore that’s why I called for external help to hopefully bring things to a higher standard. I had worked with Jakob twice before and now we will focus on a more serious project that will take almost a year to get officially released.
I still try to involve as less people as possible here, but I had reached my own limits on the former website that’s why I asked other people for help.
There is not much time left until the next trip and I am so damn busy again with my real job that I have no idea how to release 10.000 pictures and 100 GB video material (can’t call me lazy…) from the last trip.
That’s why I decided to kick out a summary video at the beginning now because it can take some time until you see the independent videos of it.

Who knows, maybe Jakob and I get to see Brad Pitt and a big Hollywood crew next time we are out there ?! When I stayed at Six Senses Koh Yao Noi in November, the news just came in that Brad Pitt and a Hollywood crew want to rent the entire resort in December, most likely working on a massive new Thailand project. On my day of leave of Six Senses, they delayed their plans because of the current flooding problems those days in Bangkok.
Hollywood landed a big hit with Hangover 2 where the action takes place at Ritz-Carlton-Phulay Bay, Krabi and in Bangkok.
It is too funny, but Cherry (Baccara, Soi Cowboy, Bangkok) and some other people (friends of Sam/Tilac bar, Soi Cowboy, Bangkok) told me that some staff people from the Hangover 2 crew still often frequent their bars, sitting outside (not inside) the bars and barfining girls. And now you tell me that Thai bargirls aren’t a powerful weapon of mass destruction ?! LOL.

Angeles City news :
Gerard, Angeles City’s most innovative entrepreneur, from ABC (Angeles Beach Club) hotel introduced me to some of his grand plans in Makati, Manila – a real shocker, but more about that later. He actually did fly 1 day after me to Pattaya and the guy from La Pasha was on the same plane to Thailand like me.

What’s new in Bangkok :
Mr.Klingenberg (former Anantara hotel, Chiang Saen) from Muse hotel showed me around the hotel, Medici restaurant, when we accidentally ran into each other.
The Siam Hotel will most likely be opened mid of June 2012 and the Central Embassy mall / Park Hyatt hotel might be finished around end of 2013.
The new shopping mall Terminal 21, next to Sheraton hotel Sukhumvit, got an interesting airport theme.
I met plenty of cool characters and there are lots of things to report about – if I only had more time…

Global Nanpa’s Top 25 videos : 2011

The site is now inactive until sometime early next year. There is so much stuff now going on at home that I will be glad to stop running this hobby for a longer while. I also don’t see a chance to make bigger releases between the breaks because I am just damn busy, 70 hours per week outside of Global Nanpa are my norm. When I have a bit more time – like summer next year, you get the popular (girls…) stuff, so expect strong release delays.
My style and approach might change a bit from now on. I will be doing a lot of preventive measures on the new version site to avoid potential trouble. Further I decided to close all comments after the update – thanks to the haters and spam. More people get involved here now, before I was mostly doing everything myself on this site, but i hope it is worth it. I am also happy to continue working with Jakob next year for Global Nanpa. There is in addition some cool video stuff coming up from the home base Berlin summer next year. New destinations outside of Asia are as well on the itinerary for 2012.

Global Nanpa : Sinful Lady, ep.1

This is the summary of some of the highlights of the recent trip.
When I am someday around 70-years-old and out of the game, I will probably look back at such videos with a smile, sharing those stories with maybe a handful of real friends.
Everyone will be telling his stories over and over again. Who will believe my stories when I have just words and a few pictures ? Worse, I might lose the memories myself or get alzheimer. The alcohol (primarily) already causes that I instantly lose a large amount of the memories on a trip when I return to normal mode. When watching my videos later on, the memories mostly return in detail and even better, they get preserved that way maybe forever. And that I also see as the main purpose of this site : it is a memory database and diary of my travels and thoughts before being an entertainment portal or travel guide site to others.
I believe my style will change a lot over the years. Please let me do my own mistakes. I will go my own way anyway. Some people write to me that they see all that as an inspiration source, morever I get to influence things, can create additional stuff over it and that’s the main reason why I share those videos on public mode.

Bangkok : She has him

The time with Tar was without doubt the best thing that happened to me during the recent trip.

I already know her since more than 2 years, she was part of 2 of my parties. She is ok and just a very sweet lady. I don’t think I really know much about her, but I experienced enough to feel comfortable with her.

She is also the person I selected for helping me with the review/guide section for Thailand. Having a steady person there also makes things a lot easier with the video stuff. But the style shall remain amateur, POV-way and not forced. I don’t want to lose the fun, moreover things shall remain independent.

I am really looking forward to continueing exploring more nice places with her. Currently I actually would simply like to have it peaceful and harmonic, keeping all “mosquitos” in distance from us. That might not result in the action-packed videos with lots of girls, but next time I will play almost half of the game more slow.

Tar was showing me parts of Bangkok I had never seen before. We did the longest motorbike drives together I had ever done. Sometimes we drove more than an hour high speed and non-stop around on the back, arriving at places that looked fascinating. I really enjoy driving around on motorbikes in Bangkok : no traffic jams can stop you, that feeling of freedom is special and there is so much going on / to watch on the streets of Bangkok. I totally love it.

Tar is currently living together with 3 other girls, but she changed her living places 2 times this year already I think. They have to pay THB 40k rent together for the house, so THB 10k each. The area around is nice, quiet and got a few trees around the neighborhood, but it is just really far outside.

Huai Khwang is a great place for eating street food late at night, it is more exciting than on Thonglor or Sukhumvit from my point of view.

Lots of fun and strange things happened to us. She never lost her smile.

Cosplay @ Maiake, G-club, Bangkok

They have plenty of fun events at Maiake. I was lucky to witness a cosplay event which was the first time in Thailand I had seen that.

The girls are really sexy but still I have to say in general in all G-clubs the girls are mostly not really pushing it to the limit in terms of dancing and it is too much work-environment.

G-clubs are great to hang out, to have some drinks, watch the girls in their sexy outfits and to maybe get entertained by an erotic or fun show. You have to find out for yourself if that excites you.

Maiake, G-club, 50/261 M9 Kaset-Navamindra, Klongkum, Bungkum, Bangkok

Maiake is one of Bangkok’s hottest G-clubs.

The place is not well known among foreigners and they don’t do as much PR as the BKcoolclub group does. I wonder why I haven’t heard earlier about the place. A friend at St. Moritz recommended the place to me.

A main reason that easily let’s you decide against it is the location. It is really damn far away if you are coming from the Sukhumvit area, around 45min by car. Once you go there, half of your night is determined already and it will be difficult to quickly leave again in case it doesn’t rock.
There is another big G-club close to it : Big Apple. I visited it as well, it is a good one, but I chose to review Maiake, because I simply had a better first impression.

Maiake is really big, they employ around 100 girls and they have the highest amount of sexy coyote dancers of all Bangkok G-clubs at the moment from my point of view !
The second downer however next to the location is that most girls only speak very little English. When sitting next to a girl who isn’t able to chat with you, you might get a strange feeling. I was glad that Tar went there with me. Although I didn’t see a farang, they appeared farang-friendly and were really eager to show and explain me everything. Thanks a lot ! In general they have only Thai customers.

I knew I would forget the pricing structure after a few weeks when drinking heavy in between, so I photographed what our host wrote down : Membership is like ususal THB 20k including 5 bottles of black label whiskey, 35 drinks. A member pays for a beer THB 90. They don’t have Singha or Chang, only Federbraeu ! Arghh. But when you call them beforehand they can get you whatever you want.
A ladies drink lasts for 40min and costs THB 320. When you visit the place without a membership to see if you like it, you must pay at least for 3 drinks. So, pricing sounds pretty usual to me.
G-clubs are however only fun for me when being at least slightly drunk. My second time I went there sober – well, it is actually a pretty sick game, certainly more sick than the bargirl’s world. Better get drunk and have some fun….

Falabella, Royal Sports Club, 100 Ratchadamri road, Bangkok

Falabella is one of Bangkok’s most exclusive night clubs. The place is well structured and managed.
The entrance is at 100 Ratchadamri road. I had never heard of it before and there is also no written info in the internet about the place. Butler Dome at St. Regis hotel actually recommended the place to me because the hotel is just about 100 meters away from it. I was shocked how much I liked it. The guests were extremely friendly and you feel that most have travelled as well. You often see it in their eyes how they look at things and how they behave. I didn’t see a single farang there though.
It’s the grown-up version of Funky Villa and a bit more VIP. People tend to be in their 30s and 40s. The girls were also more old, but very elegant dressed and I saw some hot ones as well. I am getting older too. The main room of Funky Villa at weekends I have to avoid already because it is just a steam room. At Falabella they make sure that things run more comfortable for the “older generation”. I am sure to be back and the older I get, the more likely I return.

Funky Villa, Thonglor, Bangkok : May 2011

I was a bit lazy carrying around my assistant light. My camera alone doesn’t make me that flexible anymore and the lighting in addition was just often too much to bare for me. Sorry for the dark shots but sometimes I like to enjoy a few things also without my camera stuff.

Funky Villa is a very unique place in Bangkok. It is the only place at the moment that is able to bring them all together. They score on diversity : you see sexy people, ugly people, rich people, poor people, stylish people, etc…

Everyone knows that they are the undisputed #1 of Bangkok’s nightlife sector and they know it too. They don’t charge entrance fees but the beer and alcoholic beverages prices are very high for most Thai people. It is also one of the only places where they request passport copies for foreigners at the entrance. At least in Bangkok you don’t run into any passport scam shit like taxi drivers are currently pulling it ugly at a few clubs in Jakarta.

I would wish that the main room would play not so much mainstream music but only that way you can draw such crowds. Demo next to it was also always packed now when I went there. Nung and Boy established here an extremely successful and trend-setting club. Congratulations.
